Project overview

Foundry Networks is a success story we love to tell. We became their marketing partner in the mid 90s. At first we supported their two-person marketing department with typical marcom—data sheets, postcard mailings, tradeshow handouts, etc.

To grow to the "next level", they budgeted for a highly-visible ad campaign that accelerated their growth with the exploding demand for more data to the desktop.

Our campaign, with heavy placement in all the network trades, positioned them as the leader in gigabit switch and router technology. The ads were feature-laden and well-written. And they were also eye catching, fun to read, and drew excellent readership.

The end of the story? Foundry's IPO in 2001 was one of the most successful in the history of Silicon Valley.
